Four young men from STrIVE had the opportunity to take part in the Kansas Youth Empowerment Academy–“Empower Me!”--workshop through their Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS). The students took part in a Zoom workshop with 30 other students from Central Kansas. The students shared about their work experiences and learned what other students are doing. The students explained the soft skills that are important in keeping a job. They also participated in mock interviews. The young men were focused throughout the day and each shared with the group during the day. The leaders of the workshop were very impressed with the students who participated and complimented their willingness to be active participants! Way to go STrIVERs!
