During their monthly regular meeting on August 12, 2024, the Board of Education approved hiring two full-time substitutes for each building. This initiative will not only benefit students by ensuring consistent classroom leadership but also to provide valuable support and relief for our hardworking teaching staff. The goal of this expansion is to alleviate the workload and stress often associated with managing unexpected teacher absences.
Mr. Ty Rhodes, Assistant Superintendent, emphasized the positive impact on teachers, stating, "Our teachers are at the heart of the work we do. By implementing these additional full-time substitute positions, we are not only enhancing educational continuity but also demonstrating our commitment to supporting our educators in their vital role of providing the best educational experience for students."
